
It was a double win for Bubble Gang after two of its talents won at the 37th PMPC Star Awards for Television.
Chariz Solomon was hailed as Best Comedy Actress, while Paolo Contis was named Best Comedy Actor.
During her acceptance speech, Chariz, who is also part of the comedy show Pepito Manaloto and the vodcast Your Honor, turned emotional and expressed her desire to make people laugh with her craft.
“It's really a hard time for comedy and TV now, pero lalaban tayo. Kasi, kami po hindi na namin tinitingnan kung ano 'yung makukuha namin, we just work, because we love our jobs. We work for our families, it makes us happy to make people happy. And that' what we need right now in the world.”
In a separate Instagram post, the former StarStruck alumna thanked the whole team behind PMPC for the recognition, too.
“Masayang, masayang, masaya. Salamat Lord.
“Mabuhay kayo PMPC, sa walang sawa ninyong pagbibigay-parangal sa aming mga aktor!”

The Sparkle comedienne first won as Best Comedy Supporting Actress for her role in the comedy series Jejemom (2010) in the Enpress Golden Screen TV Awards back in 2011.
In addition, Sparkle newbie John Clifford, who portrays Jacob in the hit sitcom Pepito Manaloto, won in the category Best New Male TV Personality.
