Cloudy with isolated rains across PH; Sinlaku weakens into a typhoon

The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility with international name "Sinlaku" has weakened into a typhoon, according to PAGASA.

As of 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sinlaku is at 2,550 kilometers east of Central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 175 km per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 215 km/h.  

It is moving 10 km/h northwestward.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
