Yves Rocher Philippines showcased its Anti-Dandruff Hair Care range at a special event in SM Mall of Asia, inviting customers to experience scalp diagnosis sessions and personalized hair care rituals that highlight the French brand’s plant-based approach to beauty.
The activation marked a growing focus on scalp health in the Philippines, with Yves Rocher offering free diagnostic services not only during the launch but also across all of its branches in Metro Manila and Cebu.
“Hair care is our top category in the Philippines, and two of our best-selling lines are the anti-hair loss and anti-dandruff ranges. That’s why we’re doing this event — to help customers understand the condition of their scalp and recommend the right care using our botanical expertise,” Kimberly del Rosario, brand manager of Yves Rocher Philippines, told The Manila Times in an interview.
The scalp analysis uses specialized equipment to evaluate scalp condition and hair strength. Based on results, Yves Rocher staff prescribe a personalized regimen, often centered on the Anti-Dandruff line formulated with organic peppermint from La Gacilly, France.
Del Rosario said peppermint was chosen for its soothing properties, particularly helpful for customers experiencing itchiness or redness.
“When you’re stressed, sometimes your scalp reacts with flaking or irritation. Organic peppermint helps calm the scalp and reduce flakes,” she explained.
The sulfate-free shampoo and treatment lotion promise visible results within two weeks. A clinical study by Yves Rocher found that 97 percent of participants reported dandruff elimination and scalp comfort after 28 days of use.
Del Rosario explained that the brand’s formulas avoid harsh ingredients common in many hair products.
“Most shampoos use sulfates because they create foam and give you that ‘clean’ feeling. But sulfates actually strip away your natural oils. Our cleansers are plant-based, so they clean effectively while protecting your scalp,” she said.
Beyond the promise of dandruff-free hair, the event emphasized education and awareness.
“We realized customers appreciated knowing what was really happening with their scalp. That’s why we made the diagnostic machines available in all our stores. And it’s free — just walk in and enjoy the service,” del Rosario said.
Del Rosario said most Yves Rocher products are 98 to 100 percent botanical in origin, silicone-free, paraben-free, and vegan.
“People are much more conscious now of what chemicals do to their bodies. That’s why our eco-friendly, plant-based products resonate with customers. It’s beauty that cares for you and the environment,” she said.
The company also noted that hair concerns such as dandruff and hair loss affect all genders, with a surprising number of men seeking solutions.
“Men are now more aware of how to take care of themselves. That shift has made our hair care expertise even more relevant,” del Rosario said.
Some of Yves Rocher hair care range featured include Force Scalp Booster with Ginseng for lifeless hair lacking density; Anti-Breakage Fortifying Serum with Agave Fructans and Jojoba Oil that protects fragile hair; Repair Restoring Shampoo with Organic Jojoba, sulfate-free shampoo for dry and damaged hair; Anti-Hair Loss Fortifying Conditioner with White Lupin that strengthens weakened, lifeless hair; and Shine Vinegar with Raspberry Vinegar for shine and scalp purification.
The Anti-Dandruff Hair Care range is available in all Yves Rocher stores nationwide, alongside complimentary scalp diagnosis sessions and other personalized beauty consultations like bespoke skin analysis, with tailored care recommendations offered only at five select Yves Rocher stores in Manila.
